The Protection, Shelter, Camp Coordination and Management, and Emergency Assistance for Internally Displaced Persons and Returnees project is a project funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and implemented through the Nahda Makers Organization (NMO). It aims to support Yemeni internally displaced persons and returnees at all levels, as well as the vulnerable host communities. It begins by assessing their living, legal, health, and psychosocial needs to provide social protection and essential services to meet those needs. This includes effectively managing camps, and ensuring appropriate shelter, whether by providing permanent housing solutions for returnees to their areas of origin, or by providing safe and secure temporary shelters that meet health and safety standards for the internally displaced. These activities also seek to enhance community engagement and establish effective communication channels between the internally displaced, returnees, and relevant authorities.
