The "Yemen Climate-Induced Displacement and Emergency Response Project," implemented by Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) in partnership with of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and funded by Education Cannot Wait (ECW), aims to ensure that school-aged children have access to quality, inclusive education within a safe and protective learning environment in the governorates of Taiz and Al Hudaydah.
The project focuses on improving educational infrastructure by constructing and rehabilitating classrooms, sanitation facilities, and safe water systems. It also strengthens the capacity of teaching staff through financial incentives and specialized training programs designed to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
In addition, the project promotes child protection and psychosocial support services for students, provides essential school supplies, and fosters the inclusion of children with disabilities in the education system. Furthermore, it strengthens community engagement by training Parent Councils to support the continuity and sustainability of education in communities affected by crises and displacement.
