As part of the project " Addressing the basic and emergency livelihoods needs of food insecure IDP and Host community households" funded by #ECHO, in partnership with #Cordaid and implemented by Nahda Makers Organization in coordination with local authority, implemented the "Vocational Training and Life Skills" program in Al-Ma'afer District, Taiz Governorate. The program targeted 225 beneficiaries from the host community, displaced people, returnees, and low-income families.
The program included specialized vocational training in various fields, including:
- Sewing
- Incense and Perfume Making
- Hairdressing
- Solar Energy Maintenance
- Mobile Phone Maintenance and Programming
- Motorcycle Maintenance
- Pastry and Sweet Making
In addition, beneficiaries received life skills training that contributes to strengthening their personal and social capabilities and facilitating their integration into the labor market.
This activity aims to provide participants with vocational skills that will help them secure job opportunities or start small businesses, contributing to achieving financial independence and livelihoods.
This activity is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacities of communities in Crisis-affected areas, and support for the economic and social stability of the most vulnerable groups.
