#NMO_ORG implements a training course in greenhouse agriculture

Within the project “supporting and developing agricultural activities in the governorates of Lahj and Abyan”, which is funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, #Nahda_Makers Organization implemented a training course in the field of agriculture in greenhouses, which targeted the farmers targeted in the project and to whom the greenhouses were distributed.

This workshop, which was held in which 13 farmers from the region were trained in Lahj Tiban / Abyan Khanfar, worked on training them in the basic skills and knowledge to work in the field of agriculture in greenhouses, including designing, operating and maintaining greenhouses, growing plants and vegetables, managing water resources, soil, pest and disease control.

This project, which is being implemented, works on supplying and installing 13 greenhouses, supplying and installing 60 irrigation networks, and is concerned with training farmers on the use of modern agricultural techniques.

It will also work in the coming days to train farmers benefiting from irrigation networks, supervise and follow up on agriculture in greenhouses and irrigation networks, and conduct a study of the economic feasibility of greenhouses and irrigation networks.

All of this will enhance food security by providing greenhouses and modern irrigation networks to improve agricultural production in the targeted areas.
