#NMO_ORG holds TOT-4 training workshop for DFTs on (Tenders management and projects implementation)

Within the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen - #SIERY project, which is funded by the #European_Union, and Implemented by the #UNDP, through #Nahda_Makers, in coordination with the Ministry of Local Authority, TOT-4 training workshop was held for DFTs on (Tenders management and projects implementation).

This training, which was held, targeted 60 trainees from the governorate’s main facilitators’ teams in “Aden – Hadramout – Marib – Lahj – Taiz,” in which participants from the governorate’s core facilitator teams acquired basic skills in understanding the stages of tenders for three phases:

  • Project preparation phase.
  • Bidding stage.
  • Contract implementation management phase.

 

The course also presented concepts about the interactions between the preparation of the plan and the budget and dealt with the implementation of projects and the general principles of the tendering process as well as the roles and responsibilities in addition to the roles and responsibilities of the sub-committees.

The participants also acquired the necessary skills on how to plan for development using the project cycle methodology and to create a solid executive development plan based on the logframe matrix and management by results.

This course aims to review the process of preparing the plan and budget to remind all participants of it. It also aimed to introduce the aspects related to the bidding process and project implementation so that the participants know the interconnectedness that exists between them and how the bidding process and project implementation can be followed. 

In the coming days the organization is continuing the process of training the DFTs facilitators, which will reflect its impact on training the DCTs facilitators teams as well.
