Within the Shelter / CCCM Sector, and with the support of #UNHCR, #Nahda_Makers continues to implement the activities of Camp Coordination and Camp Management Project.
Recently, the organization has implemented many different activities targeting the camp's who live in the camp targeting 100 individual, located in the Maqbna district of Taiz governorate, "Al-Hajb and Hajjaj".
Where the organization carried out the following activities:
The community committees were handed over a maintenance kit consisting of the necessary tools in order to benefit from them in any maintenance work inside the site.
Where the cleaning campaign was carried out inside the site after the necessary tools were provided.
Where twenty solar streetlighting were installed on the site, and this activity comes as an additional security measure to reduce the risks of sexual and gender-based violence.
Where the camp residents were provided with maintenance and safety kits to be used in the cash-for-work activity, through which they will remove the waste on the site.
Where fire safety tools were supplied and installed at two points of the site, and community committees and volunteers from the site were trained on their use, as well as awareness sessions for the displaced-on firefighting.
All of this aims to involve the community in improving their environment to mitigate security risks and improve access to basic services for residents of IDPs hosting sites.
