#NMO_ORG launches the introductory workshop CCCM project for the local authority, the Executive Unit and the Stakeholders.

Within the Shelter / CCCM sector, #NMO_ORG launched the introductory workshop CCCM project funded by the #UNHCR for the local authority, the Executive Unit and the Stakeholders in Taiz, "Maqbna" district.

This workshop, which was held, discussed some concepts related to the management of IDPs sites, and the most important activities that will be implemented in the sites in which this project will operate were reviewed, which aims to improve the living conditions in the camps for the displaced in the field of shelter, enhance community awareness and rehabilitate the site, which will positively alleviate their suffering, especially in the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the conflict.

 The workshop also discussed what the project will do, which includes re-planning sites, forming community committees, implementing waste removal campaigns, raising awareness and training volunteers on spreading health awareness messages, in addition to the camp maintenance activity and its components that include cash for work, and other activities that will contribute to the maintenance of those camps through creation of a self-administrative structure with the participation of camp residents.

This workshop aims to enhance engagement with the local authorities, the Executive Unit, and coordination between CCCM partners to improve service delivery according to jointly identified needs.

The meeting was attended by: The director of Maqbna Directorate, a representative of the Executive Unit in Taiz, a representative of the Executive Unit in Maqbna, and representatives of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, in addition to the project team in the organization.
