As part of its ongoing emergency response to support families severely affected by natural disasters, Nahda Makers #NMO_ORG with funding from #DKH, implemented the Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) project for flood-affected households in Dar Saad District, Aden.
The activity included the distribution of unconditional cash transfers to 340 displaced families in the targeted camps, amounting to 242,000 YR per family, who were directly affected by the floods that swept through the region.
The main objective of this intervention is to meet the urgent basic needs of the affected families while allowing them to prioritize their own necessities. This approach aligns with the Cash and Markets Working Group standards and supports the efficiency of the local market observed during the rapid assessment.
Through this intervention, #NMO reaffirms its humanitarian commitment to assisting flood-affected families and empowering them to cope with crises in dignity and resilience.
