Funded by #UNHCR and within the project Protection, Shelter, CCCM and emergency assistance Activities for IDPs and Returnees in Taiz and Abyan, #Nahda_Makers Organization implemented 16 days of activities to combat violence against women.
This activity, which is held in conjunction with the international campaign to combat violence against women, targeted women in those areas with a number of different activities, totaling 330 women and girls and 100 children from different categories, including children with special needs.
These activities included various events such as:
· Launching and opening the incense and perfume course to enable participants to achieve financial independence and enhance their opportunities in the labor market, which helps them start small projects that contribute to improving their standard of living.
· The open day activity for children, which aims to encourage children to express their feelings and ideas in creative ways.
· The encouraging girls to express their opinions through the arts, while conveying positive messages about women's rights and their importance.
· Bazaar opening activities to display products of women and girls after they have been trained in sewing, to enhance community participation by inviting the community to attend and participate.
All this is aimed at enhancing ongoing efforts to promote development and protect target groups, while providing a safe environment and economic and social empowerment opportunities that contribute to building community capacities.
