Supported by #BMZ and in partnership with #WFP, Nahda Makers Organization implemented the " Agricultural Consultation Sessions for the FFA Farmers’ Beneficiaries as part of the “"From Food to Resilience" #FuTuRe project. The training targeted the districts of Sayun, Shibam, Al-Qatn, and Wadi Al-Ain in Hadhramaut Governorate, encompassing 288 farmers benefiting from the project.
These training sessions aimed to raise awareness on the latest agricultural techniques, plant propagation methods, and nursery preparation for cultivation. The sessions also covered integrated pest management for vegetable crops, key physiological phenomena, the risks associated with pesticides, and safe usage practices. This initiative seeks to educate and empower local farmers, enhancing their production capacity and contributing to improved food security and sustainable agriculture.
The sessions were attended by the Director General of Sayun District and the Director General of the Agriculture Office in Wadi and the Desert. They observed the progress of the training and addressed the concerns and challenges faced by the trainees, in an effort to strengthen communication between farmers and local authorities, ensuring the success of these trainings in the agricultural sector.
