Funded by #BMZ and in partnership with #WFP, #Nahda_Makers Organization and with the local communities continue to implement the activities of Food to Resilience (FuTuRe) project.
Recently, the organization has implemented several vocational training courses for beneficiaries included in the general food distribution program from various categories. This training included 327 beneficiaries from different groups in training courses held in the districts of Seiyun, Shibam, Al Qatn, and Hawrah Wadi Al-Ain.
The training courses offered cover a diverse range of vocational skills, including (Solar System Technician, Tailoeing and Sweing, Maintenance of Agricultural Machnary, Pastry Making, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Auto Car Mechanic, Blacksmithing and Welding, plumbing, Smart Phone Maintenance, and Auto Car Electricity.
Participants will also receive lessons in entrepreneurship, marketing, and accounting to enhance their basic business management skills.
This will be followed by a 45-day extended program in which trainees will receive practical training within local workshops and institutions, allowing them to apply the acquired skills in a real work environment. Each trainee will also be provided with an "Empowerment Kit" containing the necessary tools for practicing the profession they have been trained for.
The aim of this initiative is to equip participants with the tools they need to start their own businesses and acquire the professional skills necessary to enter the labor market, helping them achieve self-sufficiency, rely on a sustainable income source, and reduce dependency on direct aid, thereby enhancing the beneficiaries' economic and social resilience.
