Aisha ….. Happiness

Displaced families from the governorates that are suffering the armed conflict have difficult and tragic conditions where the most basic elements of life like food, water and medicine, as well as shelter are lacking

Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) is implementing the Non-Food items (NFIs) distribution project funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). This project targets IDPs fleeing conflict areas such as Taiz and Hodeida and are present in Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Dhalea and the south of Taiz.

We met with Aisha Thabit Thalib, a displaced old widow who fled from the governorate of Hodeida, Hays district. Aisha was displaced alongside with her nine sons for whom she is responsible

Aisha expressed her pleasure in receiving the material in simple words, yet these words melted our hearts in compassion because Nahda Makers team was able to draw a smile on this poor old woman's face.

The NFIs distribution project targeted 1142 displaced families in Khanfar district and 508 displaced families in Zinjibar with total of 1650 families
