As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of local communities and improve food security, Nahda Makers continues to implement activities under the project “Building Resilience through integrated community-based and humanitarian systems transformation and leadership in Yemen (BRIGHTLY)” With funding from #FCDO and in partnership with #NRC.
The implemented project activities included the “Distribution of Livelihood Start-up Kits/Grants for various income-generating activities” in Jabal Habashi District - Taiz Governorate, in addition to the “Provision of seasonal agricultural input packages for 26 farmers”, contributing to the support of local agricultural production and the improvement of household incomes.
The interventions targeted 426 beneficiaries from low-income households and extremely vulnerable cases in Bilad Al-Wafi and Bani Issa sub-districts of Jabal Habashi District, with a focus on empowering the groups most vulnerable to food insecurity to meet their basic needs and enhance self-reliance.
The project aims to support local communities through integrated training and development programs that contribute to improving livelihoods, strengthening food security, and building sustainable capacities capable of addressing economic and humanitarian challenges.
