As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen humanitarian and development action, and within the framework of the project “(Humanitarian System Transformation through Local Humanitarian Leadership (HST-LHL)”, funded by the #Ministry_of_Foreign_Affairs_Netherlands, and in partnership with #OXFAM , #Nahda_Makers held the Validation Workshop for the Mapping Report of L/NNGOs' Participation in Humanitarian System.
The workshops were conducted in the governorates of Aden and Taiz.
The workshops witnessed broad participation, with a total of 80 participants, representing civil society organizations and stakeholders involved in humanitarian work.
The workshops aimed to present the report’s findings, review and enrich them through participants’ inputs, and validate the research draft, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the outputs and ensuring they reflect the reality of local humanitarian action, its challenges, and opportunities for development.
During the activity, a detailed presentation of the report was delivered, followed by an open and interactive discussion that enabled participants to share their views, observations, and recommendations. This process contributes to improving the quality of the report and adopting it as a supportive reference for strengthening local humanitarian leadership and advancing the localization of humanitarian action.
These workshops aim to strengthen the capacity of these organizations to influence and actively participate in humanitarian decision-making processes.
