Funded by #BMZ and in partnership with #WFP, the #Nahda_Makers Organization has completed the community asset of paving flood channels (Al-Kawader Canal) in the Al-Kawader area in the Al Qatn District - Hadhramaut Governorate.
Where it worked on handing over the community asset to the Public Works and Roads Office in Al-Qatan District, and the receipt and handover report was signed by the Director of the Public Works and Roads Office in Al-Qatan District, the project officer, and a representative of the community committees.
This activity has enabled about 110 beneficiaries to benefit directly from this asset through work in exchange for asset development, in addition to 19,600 beneficiaries indirectly.
It will also work to protect the houses adjacent to the canal from the dangers of floods and to benefit from rainwater, directing it and using it to irrigate the agricultural lands below the canal and to provide beneficiaries with skills in the process of paving, construction and lining.
The delivery was attended by the Director of the Social Affairs Office, the Engineer of the Public Works and Roads Office in Al-Qatan, the Project Engineer, the Assistant Project Engineer, the Directorate Coordinator, and the Directorate Engineer.
