Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Major General Salem Al-Soqtri, and the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Mr. Nabil Shamsan, #Nahda_Makers Organization participated in the first Agricultural and Fisheries Economic Opportunities Conference - Taiz 2024, which was one of the sponsors of this conference.
This conference, which was held on October 20, 2024, highlights the most important economic, agricultural and fisheries opportunities in the governorate and establishes partnerships with UN agencies and international and local organizations to intervene in the agricultural and fisheries sector and an opportunity to enhance livelihood projects and economic empowerment for youth in the agricultural and fisheries sector, which discusses opportunities for restoring the recovery of the Agriculture and Fisheries Office in the governorate.
It is also considered an opportunity to express the local authority’s orientation in the governorate to address the challenges facing this sector and qualify it to become a major tributary to development, which is at the heart of the plan to transform from emergency response to sustainable development.
The organization worked to be one of the sponsors and members of the preparatory committee for the conference, represented by its team, in order to serve the agricultural sector and because it is a shared responsibility that requires mobilizing all efforts and energies to achieve sustainable development.
