#NMO_ORG paved the (Aqabat Al-Qasha’a) road in the Qahifa Isolation, Mukbna Directorate, Taiz Governorate.
The road, which extends (161 meters) in length and (886) square meters, with retaining walls on both sides of the road and a waterwheel, with support from the #YHF.
The project employed 200 local workers through the cash-for-work program, aimed at providing temporary job opportunities for residents during the integrated response project for protection, livelihoods, water, and sanitation.
The paving has alleviated the difficulties faced by residents, as the rough terrain previously posed challenges for accessing schools, hospitals, and other destinations, in addition to making goods transport difficult. Now, the road offers smooth and easy passage, enhancing daily life, improving economic conditions, and boosting goods movement in the region.
The upgraded road benefits 5244 individuals, representing 1030 households, from both the local area and neighboring regions.
