Funded by #BMZ and in partnership with #WFP, #Nahda_Makers Organization and with the local communities continue to implement the activities of Food to Resilience (FuTuRe) project.
The organization has recently implemented many activities, including the activity of paving flood paths in more than one directorate, as:

  1. Rehabilitation and Pavement of the Shohooh Stream Canal, Sayun District where 3,150 square meters were paved.
  2. Rehabilitation of the Stream Canal in Wadi Na’am, Shibam District, where 1810 square meters were paved.
  3. Rehabilitation of the Stream Canal of Al Kawader, Al Qatn District, where 4610 square meters were paved.
  4. Rehabilitation of the Stream Canal of Wadi Sahari, Wadi Al ayn District, where 400 square meters were paved.

The organization, with the efforts of the region’s residents, paved it and built protective walls for it so that farmers and other professions, such as livestock and beekeepers, who are included in the distribution program, can benefit from it, in addition to the owners of homes around the assets.
The number of beneficiaries will be 392 direct beneficiaries, including 89 workers who work regularly on the assets, while 571 farmers will also benefit indirectly from the water collected through the assets.
All of this will engage beneficiaries in food activities for asset development, protecting farms and homes from erosion during the flood season, and benefiting from flood waters. Beneficiaries will also receive practical skills in stone cutting, road paving, and gabion building.
