With the support of DKH, #Nahda_Makers Organization implemented a training on the production of fuel-efficient cooking solutions, food dryers, and product marketing for Self-help groups, within the Increasing Resilience through Innovative and Sustainable Improvement of Food Security and Livelihoods project for Returnees, IDPs, Migrants and Host Communities in the Western Coastal areas of Yemen.
This training, which implemented in the western coast of Al-Hudaydah Governorate - Al Khawkha District, targeted 200 trainees from the area, where 100 from youth were trained in blacksmithing, industrial carpentry and product marketing skills, 40 women were trained in sewing skills for the production of heat preservation bags and product marketing, and 60 women were trained in drying machinery skills. Food products and the production of preserved food such as pickles and marketing of dried food products.
This training provided the trainees with problem-solving skills and overcoming challenges by generating ideas in marketing products and acquiring knowledge and special skills for blacksmithing, sewing and food drying.
