In partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and with funding from the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) is currently implementing the “Emergency Response for Heavy rainfall affected IDPs in Al-Dale'e”, within its sector in the field of WASH / Health.
This project, which targets the IDPs in the targeted sites of the displaced people's gathering in the district of Qataba, works to benefit 467 displaced families, with a total of 3,137 individuals.
This project has implemented many different activities that will help the displaced to improve water conditions and environmental sanitation in their sites and avoid the damages of heavy rain and strong winds in that district.
This project implemented the following:
- Providing and installing of 14 Emergency Temporary Latrines.
- Rehabilitating of 51 Emergency Temporary Latrines.
- Providing and installing of 6 Water Distribution Points.
- Rehabilitating of 6 Water Distribution Points.
- Providing safe, pure, chlorine water to the targeted distribution points which will continue until the end of the project.
All of this aims to improve safe access to water and provide better environmental sanitation conditions in the camps, which have been difficult because of the exceptional living conditions and situation as a result of displacement.
