#NMO_ORG concludes the Child Protection and Access to Education project

As part of the recent efforts made in the education and child protection sector, #Nahda_Makers organization concluded today the " Child Protection and Access to Education project ", funded by the #WAR_CHILD_CANADA.

This project, which targeted "Al-Hamdani" school in Tawahi district "Aden", targeted a total of 359 school students, the Parents and Teachers Council and members of the community-based protection networks, and worked to intervene in many different activities such as Provision of solar power system/minor rehabilitation, distributing school and recreational, hygiene, teacher kits, establishment and training of FMC, establishment and training of community protection network members, awareness raising activities,  community-based child-led activities and community-based protection and other activities that aim to mitigate the impact of conflict on children by addressing gaps and urgent needs for child support.

 

This project was concluded with a closing celebration at the school attended by: Aden's Deputy Governor for Youth, Director General of Tawahi District, Director of the Transitional Council Office in Tawahi District, Head of Community Committees in Tawahi District, Head of Training and Rehabilitation Division at the Ministry of Education’s Office, Aden, Coordinator of the Education Office for Organizations, and Director General of Planning and International Cooperation (Aden), the Director General of Social Affairs and Labor (Aden), the Director General of Educational Media in the Ministry of Education, the Director of the Education Office in the Directorate of Al-Tawahi, in addition to the project team of the Nahda Makers Organization.

Where it reviewed the activities of the project and worked on valuing the efforts made for what was done and the intervention that was in the school.

At the end, the Executive Director of the organization, Mr. / Mohamed El-Sayed, honored the attendees, and the winning students were honored for their efforts towards the success of the project.

In fact, Nahda Makers Organization worked during the previous years to implement (20) projects in the education and child protection sector, which targeted 151,377 beneficiaries, including the rehabilitation of various schools, the establishment of temporary classrooms for the displaced, the provision of an integrated solar energy system, distributions of bags, and the provision of Incentives for volunteer teachers in Aden, Lahj, Hodeidah, Taiz and Abyan.

The organization also intends to implement several different projects in Aden, Lahj and Hodeidah during the coming period.
