#NMO_ORG concludes "Provision of access and quality education project to conflict affected children through non formal education”

With the support of #UNICEF, #Nahda_Makers Organization recently concluded “Provision of access and quality education project to conflict affected children in Al Khukhah through non formal education”.

This project, which has been implemented, seeks to improve “girls/boys” access to equitable education and learning opportunities, improve the quality of formal and non-formal education and its importance in a safe environment, and benefit from strengthening the quality education system and increasing capacities in the West Coast.

This project worked on implementing many activities in Al Khawkhah, which benefited 800 children and 41 teachers, supervisors, administrative staff, and cleaning workers, as it worked on implementing the following:

  • Conduct coordination meetings with authorities and MoE at Al Hodeidah Governorate Al Khukhah district.
  • Establishing and training the committees.
  • Conduct camp and community outreach awareness and promotion meetings on in IDP/Returnees settlements.
  • Campaigns to introduce the project and sensitize the community about the project.
  • Conduct a training for teachers and supervisors on psychosocial support.
  • Conduct a training for teachers and supervisors on Self learning programmes (SLP).
  • Establishment (Tent) Temporary Alternative Learning Classrooms for out-of-school children.
  • Equip all classrooms and temporary learning spaces with necessary needs.
  • Provision of Recreational kits for learning spaces.
  • provision with teaching materials.
  • School Bags for 800 OOSC.
  • Distribution of curricula (for 800 students).
  • Incentives for supervisors, teachers/ volunteers conducting education activities.

In fact, the organization is continuing projects that target and facilitate the educational aspect within the education and child protection sector.
