#NMO_ORG continues to implement the activities of Camp Coordination and Camp Management-CCCM Project

With the support of #UNHCR, #Nahda_Makers organization (NMO) continues to implement the activities of the Camp Coordination and Camp Management-CCCM Project, within the Within the Shelter / CCCM Sector.

This project, which is being implemented, works on targeting the IDPs in the targeted camps and it has recently worked on the implementation of many activities that targeted the camps in Maqbna District, Taiz Governorate, which are:

  • Providing maintenance and safety kits to community committees:
    Where the maintenance and safety kits were distributed to the community committees in order to benefit from them in any maintenance work inside the site.
  • Implementation of a site cleaning campaign:
    Where a cleaning campaign was carried out inside the site after the tools were provided to the IDPs
  • Installing solar streetlighting:
    10 solar streetlighting were installed in each location, and this activity comes as an additional security measure to reduce the risks of sexual and gender-based violence.
  • cash-for-work activity for site residents:
    The cash-for-work activity was implemented for the beneficiaries through which they will implement the activities for the camp.

All of these activities aim to involve the community in improving their environment to mitigate security risks and improve access to basic services for the residents of the IDPs hosting sites and in the coming days, various other activities of the project will be implemented in continuation of the humanitarian response plan that the organization is working on.
