#NMO_ORG implements training for DFTs on gender-sensitive and youth-sensitive approaches to capacity development and gender/youth-based analysis

Within the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen -  #SIERY project, which is funded by the #European_Union , and Implemented by #UNDP , through Nahda Makers #NMO , in coordination with the Ministry of Local Authority, A workshop was implemented to train the facilitation teams in the governorates on gender-sensitive curricula, youth, capacity development, and gender-based analysis / youth.

This workshop, which was held, targeted 60 facilitators from the DFTs of the governorates "Aden, Hadramout, Taiz, Lahj and Marib" for three days.

Where they were trained to study the relationships and social frameworks of divisions of roles or social responsibilities between men and women, as well as the stage of youth, which is linked to the completion of the motivational and emotional construction of the individual in the light of his preparations and basic needs, and the completion of the growth of all aspects of his emotional, mood and mental personality.

This course aims to build the capacity of its participants and strengthen the facilitation teams in the governorates and directorates in the field of gender mainstreaming in local governance and understanding of societal roles and needs, with a focus on the youth axis, their roles and needs, and the skills necessary to engage women and youth in the community.

It is noteworthy that the project continues its plan to build and strengthen the capabilities of the local authority through the establishment and implementation of workshops and intensive courses, all of which aim to increase support for local authorities to maintain and increase equal access to public services and to promote social cooperation and sustainable recovery.
