Within the food security and livelihoods sector, #Nahda_Makers organization recently implemented a training course in sorghum production and beneficiaries training in vaccines and ruminants, as part of the project “Provide agricultural livelihoods services in the sorghum and livestock sectors through using market-based approaches in Hadramout governorate (Yemen)”, funded by the #LWR
This course, which trained 140 farmers in "Sayun and Tarim District, trained these farmers on agricultural processes and modern techniques for growing corn, as well as training them and livestock breeders on how to use and benefits of vaccinations for animals.
This course aimed to raise the awareness of the targeted farmers from those areas to the modern techniques of agriculture and the importance of vaccines and their benefits to animals to reduce the incidence of diseases.
All of this will then be reflected in improving good agricultural practices, harvesting and storage practices for vulnerable and marginalized farmers and their families in targeted areas, enhancing access to feed for small animals, stabilizing assets, and market sales to vulnerable and marginalized farmers.
In the coming days, the project will implement various activities, including distributing corn seeds and concentrated feed, distributing fodder and salt cubes, and distributing cash transfers to 140 farmers.
