#NMO_ORG implements Emergency Response to Conflict Affected IDPs project

Within the WASH / Health sector, #Nahda_makers organization implemented the Emergency Response to Conflict Affected IDPs in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, "Hays" district, Funded by the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations and in partnership with International Rescue Committee.

This project, which was implemented, targeted the IDPs’ in “Al- Hayet and Al- Qalama” sites and worked on the implementation of many different activities, which benefited (2207 individuals) of the displaced from that area and worked on the following:

  1. Providing and installing eight water distribution points including a polyethylene water tank with 2000 letter capacity and its iron base to 171 IDP households (911 individuals) at Al Hayet IDPs site.
  2. Providing chlorine water trucking for 45 daily to the eight water distribution points with conducting tests of the water source to serve 171 IDPs households (911 individuals) at Al Hayet IDP site.
  3. Distribution of 433 BHKs to 433 IDP households (2207 individuals) at Al Hayet and Al Qalama IDP sites.
  4. Conducting Hygiene Promotion Campaigns to 433 IDP households (2207 individuals) at Al Hayet and Al Qalama IDP sites.
  5. Constructing 20 Emergency Temporary Latrines to 99 IDP households (533 individuals) at Al-Hayet IDP site. 

All that aims to improve water conditions and environmental sanitation for the conflict affected IDPs in Hays district, raising health awareness and reducing the risk of disease, as they live in precarious conditions. 

In fact, the organization is continuing its permanent plan for humanitarian response through the implementation of various projects.
