#NMO_ORG concludes the Emergency Response to Evicted IDPs Project

Within its sector in the field of water sanitation and hygiene, and Funded by the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations and in partnership with International Rescue Committee, #NMO_ORG concluded its implementing project, which is Emergency Response to Evicted IDPs in Khanfar district in Abyan.

This project, which was implemented, targeted the “Al-Rudini” IDPs’ in Khanfar district and worked to implement many activities that would help the displaced to raise health awareness as they live in unstable conditions, which aimed at emergency response to the displaced by raising their health awareness and reducing the risk having diseases.

During the implementation, 42 hygiene kits were distributed to the IDPs from that area. It also worked on implementing health awareness sessions, which targeted approximately 191 displaced persons in Al- Rudini area. Those messages focused on the importance of paying attention to personal hygiene, safe disposal of excreta, and how to preserve safe drinking water and food to limit the spread of pathogens, in addition to awareness messages about the infection of the Corona virus (Covid-19) and its mutated viruses, and how to deal with infected cases to limit the spread of infection.

All this with the aim of promoting the values of personal hygiene to limit the spread of infectious diseases among the displaced in their gathering site in Isolat Al- Rudini, Khanfar District.

In fact, the organization continues its permanent plan for the humanitarian response through the implementation of projects that work on that.
