#NMO_ORG holds the introductory workshop for one of its most prominent projects in the field of food security and livelihoods

#NMO_ORG held the introductory workshop for its new project in the field of food security and livelihoods, which is the project of "Increasing Resilience through Innovative and Sustainable Improvement of Food Security and Livelihoods for Returnees, IDPs, Migrants and Host Communities in the Western Coastal areas of Yemen" Supported by #DKH 

This project, which seeks to address part of the challenges facing the western coastal region on the Red Sea that houses traditional fishermen communities by providing fuel-efficient cooking solutions (solar stoves, fuel-saving stoves, heat retention bags) and will encourage food drying practices with the introduction of enhanced food processing (Drying) using solar dryers at the family and community level and will also seek to create income-generating job opportunities. 

Existing livelihood strategies will thus be strengthened and made more sustainable through the successful introduction of innovative, locally adapted products and processes.

This workshop, which was held, aims to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the intervention strategy and project approach for the local authorities, to consult on the project phases, and to seek the involvement of the local authorities in the implementation of the project. 

The meeting was attended by The Director general of international NGOs at the ministry of planning , The Director of the Planning and International Cooperation Office in Hodeida, The Head of the Executive Unit for the Displaced in Hodeida, The Director of AL-Khokha District, The Director of AL-Tuhayta District, The DKH Cash Aid Coordinator - and the representative of the Abs Development Organization and the team of the #NMO_ORG represented by the Executive Director and the project team.
