Distribution of filter in (Dhamaran)

Yusefien area in ALQabaytah, in Dhamaran village, have been suffering from shortage of water during drought season. Where the families of this  village try tocope with this issue by constructing rain harvesting water  tanks to keep as muchas possible of rainwater. 

The families of the village are eagerly awaiting the rainyseason, but the  water collected in the water tanks needs to be filtered to ensurethe  water is pure and clean. There are some cases of urology and kidney problems that people in the area have been suffering from for a long time

Therefore, it was necessary to respond to the suffering of the people  in the village. mentioned above and in order to complete the humanitarian assistance,  which consists of contributing to the construction of rain harvesting water tanks, as  well as raising awareness. The organization distributed ceramic water filters    as  acomplement to these efforts within the emergency WASH support project  for IDPS and Conflict Affected.

One of the beneficiaries of the project, Daoud Mohammed Ahmed Salam,  55 years, said he was very happy because his village had receivedthese filters,  which would contribute significantly to clean drinking water. 

He alsoadded, the filters would have an impact to eliminate diseases associated  withdrinking unclean water, which contains a large proportion of sediments  and salts.

The number of beneficiaries from the distribution of ceramic water filters in Dhamaran village  was 415 HHs
