Rehabilitation of health facilities improves the health of our village`s citizen

Maqatera is one of Districts in Lahj.  That was targeted by The Integrated Wash response project in high food insecurity and malnutrition district in Lahj. The main objective of the project was that the district suffers from a lack of basic services in its health facilities such as(electricity, hands washing Premises, the incinerators used to burn waste.

Here comes the intervention of The Integrated WASH response project in high food insecurity and malnutrition district in Lahj. Implemented by #Nahd_Makers_Organization and funded by #UNOCHA

 

Through the visit of Nahda Makers Team to Alhanisha area, the team met Dr. Shokria Abdulghani Saif Ahmed – The Health Facility Manager-in Alhanisha area which located in Al Maqatera District Lahj Governorate. 

Dr. Shokria Abdulghani Saif Ahmed expressed her happiness of the intervention of Nahda Makers organization in repairing the Health Facility in the area, which included; provision of solar system, Build hand washing premises, building the incinerator of the health facility

The Health Facility was  connected to a water source (well), which was rehabilitated by Nahda Makers organization, and the health facility was also provided with water from another well during the project period, moreover, the health facilities were  provided with 2,500-liter plastic tanks

The number of beneficiaries from the rehabilitation of health facilities in Alhanisha and Al-Ba'aima in Al-Maqatra district was 3383 individual
