طفح مجاري.. وروائح تنبعث.. وتلوث بيئي يضرب مديرية الضالع، مركز المحافظة؛ بسبب البيارات المكشوفة المنتشرة في المناطق المأهولة.
فبالإضافة إلى التهديد البيئي الذي تشكله هذه البيارات المكشوفة، فهي تتسبب في تهديد حياة الناس؛ بما تمثله من مخاطر الوقوع فيها ومقتل المواطنين الأبرياء.
ولم تكن لهذه المخاطر أن تقف عند حدها، لولا مشروع بناء بيارات (آمنة) للمنازل في تلك المنطقة، والذي تكفلت به منظمة صناع النهضة، بتمويل من لجنة الإنقاذ الدولية.
وكان لهذا المشروع أثراً واضحاً في تأمين حياة المواطنين، من كل النواحي.
من ناحية تأمين البيئة ووقف طفح المجاري وما تتسبب به من روائح كريهة وإضرار بالمجتمع من خلال التهديد بنشر الأمراض.
ومن ناحية أخرى منع هذا المشروع التسبب في سقوط المواطنين الأبرياء في حفر البيارات المكشوفة.
مما جعل مديرية الضالع، مركز المحافظة مكانًا أكثر آمانًا.
