Supported by UNICEF, NMO Implements Emergency Interventions to Improve Water and Sanitation Services for IDPs in Aden, Lahj, and Abyan

As part of its humanitarian efforts to address the essential needs of the most vulnerable populations, Nahda Makers Organization (#NMO) is implementing the “Reaching Every Child in Emergencies Project” project, funded by the Funded by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (#Sida), with the support of (#UNICEF). The project aims to improve living conditions for newly displaced people arriving from conflict-affected areas and enhance their access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services in Aden, Lahj, and Abyan governorates.

The project targets 1,586 IDPs through a range of emergency humanitarian interventions, including the installation of 30 water points, construction of latrines, and water supply provision. These activities contribute to meeting beneficiaries’ basic needs and reducing health and environmental risks associated with limited access to water and sanitation services.

These interventions are part of efforts to strengthen the humanitarian response for the most vulnerable populations by providing sustainable, quality water and sanitation services and improving hygiene practices, thereby helping protect the health of displaced people and ensuring a safer and more suitable living environment.

The project continues its efforts to meet the essential needs of displaced people and improve their access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services, contributing to better living conditions and strengthening their ability to cope with humanitarian challenges in the targeted areas.
