Funded by #BMZ and in partnership with #WFP, #Nahda_Makers Organization and with the local communities continue to implement the activities of Food to Resilience (FuTuRe) project.
#NMO_ORG implemented the organic fertilizer production activity (compost) in the targeted areas of Hadramout Governorate.
This activity was implemented by more than 230 workers, produced organic fertilizer, which is a type produced by decomposing plant and animal materials under certain conditions of ventilation and humidity. It is used to improve soil fertility and increase its ability to retain water, which enhances the healthy growth of plants.
The activity produced more than 150 tons of this fertilizer to cover the needs of farmers and landowners covered by the project. The activity also introduced farmers to methods of producing organic fertilizer for later use after the intervention to reduce the cost of agricultural inputs, improve crop quality, increase their quantity, and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers.
It is noteworthy that this project continues to implement its various activities within the food security and livelihoods sector.
