#NMO_ORG continues the activities of the “Access to Education for displaced and host community children” project

Within the education and child protection sector, #Nahda_Makers organization continues the activities of the “Access to Education for displaced and host community children” project funded by #ECW and in partnership with #NRC

This project, which is implemented in Taiz Governorate - Mawza District and Al Hudaydah Governorate - Hays District, targets 2,000 students from displaced children and children of the host community in the reception areas for the targeted schools and has recently implemented many different activities as follows:

  • Construction of 5 new Temporary Learning Spaces.
  • School rehabilitation including the existing classrooms and administration rooms.
  • Rehabilitation and construction of latrines connected to water sources.
  • Providing schools with solar power systems.

This implemented project targets Abi Dujana School and Omar bin Abdul Aziz School in Mawza District, Taiz Governorate, as well as Al-hoar Al-Watani School and Abi Al-Qasim School in Hays District, Al Hudaydah Governorate.

These implemented activities aim to increase access to education for conflict-affected boys, girls, and adults and to support learning environments by providing safe and protected water and sanitation services for crisis-affected boys, girls, and adults.

And, during the coming period, the construction and renovations in the targeted schools will be completed, as will the installation of solar energy systems, the provision of office furniture and student chairs, in addition to the distribution of health kits for each school.
