Within the project “Provide agricultural livelihoods services in the sorghum and livestock sectors through using market-based approaches in Hadramout governorate (Yemen)”, #Nahda_Makers Organization distributed cash transfers in its first round to farmers in the districts of "Seiyun and Tarim", with funding from the Lutheran World Relief Organization #LWR.
It was distributed to 140 farmers in those two districts (70 farmers in Seiyun and 70 farmers in Tarim), which aims to improve the living conditions of small and marginalized farmers, as well as use it to prepare all the necessary agricultural operations before starting the farming process.
Earlier, the organization worked on distributing sorghum seeds, concentrated feed, feed cubes, salt cubes and agricultural tools, as well as implementing training workshops for them on how to produce sorghum and training them on vaccines and ruminants.
In the coming days, the project will work on distributing vaccinations for livestock in the two districts, where the vaccination campaign will be carried out on P.P.R vaccines and sheep pox vaccinations for sheep.
It is noteworthy that this project is among the projects implemented by the organization in the food security and livelihoods sector.
