#NMO_ORG concludes "Increasing Resilience of Health Facilities project in Aden Governorate Through Infrastructure Support"

#NMO_ORG concluded its project within the Wash, Sanitation and Hygiene sector, which is "Increasing Resilience of Health Facilities project in Aden Governorate Through Infrastructure Support", funded by #LWR

The emergency obstetric center and Al-Fath Health Center in Al-Tawahi - Aden were handed over in the presence of several eminent personalities, from the project donor and personalities from the local council.

This project, which has been implemented, is currently operating the Obstetric Emergency Center and Al-Fath Health Center with solar energy systems, all electrical works have also been rehabilitated in order to improve the quality of health services and increase the centers’ capacity and readiness to deal with the expected rise of cases in the coming period through:

  • Supply and installation of 56 solar panels for 4 solar energy systems.
  • Supply and installation of 20 batteries for 4 solar energy systems.
  • Supply and installation of 4 inverters with a built-in charging regulator with the possibility of operating directly from the panels.
  • Supply and installation of voltage stabilizers for batteries for systems, lightning rods and diodes to protect groups.
  • Supplying and installing wires and cables, linking, and wiring cables, economical suction fans, economic ceiling fans, economic LED ceiling lights, with all wires related to it.

Thus, all workers in the two health centers and all patients who come to those centers will be able to benefit from the available services, which are estimated at about: 10,363 beneficiaries.

The handover event was attended by: The #LWR donor represented by Mr.: "WILLIAM CLEMMONS - Acting country director", who expressed his happiness and thanks to #NMO_ORG and from the quality of project implementation and the materials that were supplied to implement the project, also he expressed his readiness for a new plan with the organization to finance upcoming future projects.

The handover was also attended by a several of dignitaries in the local authority they are: the Director-General of the Tawahi District, the Secretary General of the Local Council in the district, the head of the community committees, the Advisor to the Director-General of Planning and International Cooperation, the Director of the Health Office in Al-Tawahi, the Director of the Al-Fath Health Center, two members of the local council, and the head of the council transitional in the castle.

The project was received by the #NMO_ORG team represented by the Program Manager, Mr. Mohamed Al-Ghurabi, and the project team represented by the Wash team Leader, M&E department, the Public Relations Department and Communication Department.
