#NMO_ORG concludes enhanced security and protection at the local level project

#NMO_ORG concluded one of its most prominent projects for Wash, Sanitation and hygiene program which is the project of enhanced security and protection at the local level funded by #UNDP in several governorates (Aden - Lahj - Hadramout, "Mukalla"), in which a total of 9496 individuals were targeted through the implementation of 6 different activities:

1- Conducting a training course to provide knowledge and skills for health governmental officials to develop gender action plans to confront COVID-19 in Aden, in which 14 trainees were targeted.

2- Delivery of (PPEs) for the rapid response teams to covid-19 pandemic in the governorates of Aden, Lahj and Hadramout (Mukalla), in which 9267 individuals were targeted.

3- Improving the water system for the two health centers in the governorates of Aden and Lahj, in which 3110 individuals were targeted, in order to help the health workers, protect themselves and avoid possible infection with COVID-19 by using appropriate water and sanitation facilities.

4- Providing solar energy systems to four health centers in the governorates of Aden, Lahj and Hadramout (Mukalla), in which 4,581 individuals were targeted, to help health workers work effectively and efficiently.

5- Providing 300-L hand washing  station with its accessories in the eight targeted health centers in the governorates of Aden, Lahj and Hadramout (Mukalla), in which 9223 individuals were targeted, in order to help health care workers protect themselves and avoid potential infection with COVID-19 by promoting the concept of hand washing.

6- Transferring cash incentives for a period of two months to health workers in four health centers and rapid response teams in the governorates of Lahj and Hadramout (Mukalla), in which 218 health workers were targeted, in order to strengthen the health system in health centers and rapid response teams.

All of this aims to strengthen public health systems in the governorates of Aden, Lahj and Hadramout against the Covid-19 pandemic and providing sustainable solutions by providing alternative energy with solar energy.

It is mention that the organization is implementing several projects in various other fields: shelter - food security and livelihoods - Governance and Skill-building Program - education program and child protection.
