Job Title: Project assistant

Position level and grade: Community Mobilizer / Field Supervisor
The type and duration of the contract: Five months
Work location: Aden Governorate - 70% field work and 30% office work


Purpose of the position


The purpose of the job is to coordinate and implement activities within the project of crisis support to Solid Waste, Water Supply and Sewerage Institutions in Aden and Mukalla and to complete the tasks related to the project according to plans and in line with the general plan of the project.


Tasks and responsibilities

1. Participate in preparing and implementing activities plans.
2. Implementing work plans and completing activities related to the project according to the work plan.
3. Preparing periodic reports for the implemented activities.
4. Participate in preparing plans for activities related to the project.
5. Participate in submitting purchase requests and raising training needs for the project coordinator.
6. Contribute to coordination with local authorities and stakeholders to facilitate project work. Implement activities as per the work plan and directions of the project coordinator.
7. Coordination of the training process and supervision of its completion by trainers and consultants.
8. Raising the necessary training needs and supplies and supervising the process of providing them for training.
Participation in signing contracts and following-up the liquidation of financial dues.
9. Preparing training plans and selecting training sites.
10. Participate in following up trainers dues, collecting attachments related to financial dues, and delivering them to the project coordinator.
11. Preparing the attendance sheet of the trainees and trainers.
12. Actively represent the organization in relevant meetings, events and exercises.
13. Coordination with other units of the organization and holding the necessary meetings to facilitate the implementation of project.
14. Supervising the provision of the project's media during training.
15. Compliance with systems, procedures, principles and values in the organization.
16. Participate in solving the difficulties and problems faced by the team.
17. Perform other duties as required by the direct supervisor and related to his job location.

Qualifications, values and competencies
Qualifications and job experience:

Degree and type of specialization: Bachelor in General (Education - Business Administration)
Type and number of years of experience: One year in managing and coordinating similar projects
