Position:   Logistic Assistant

Location: Al Dhalea with traveling to Aden governorates when needed.

Responsible to: project Officer.

Responsible of: input and output from the store. Contribute to the provision of materials, goods and services with good specifications and competitive prices and negotiate with suppliers according to the regulations and procurement systems and assets and storage rules.

Contract period: 8 month

About Nahda Makers Organization:

NMO is a humanitarian organization implementing several program in WASH, Food security, Livelihood, Education and child protection program in Yemen since 2012. With funding from different donors. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES : Search and select for storage places in warehouses according to the storage standards in the organization. Receive of food and agricultural inputs from the supplier and storing them properly in the warehouse and inserting them into the warehouse records Maintain the warehouse's assets from foodstuffs, agricultural materials and any other materials Supply and transfer of materials from the main warehouse to sub-stores in the target areas according to the records of the stores Complete documentation of assets and reporting of materials entered and disbursed monthly. Periodic inventory and inventory reporting Follow up on the status, conditions and documentation of the materials Match materials received with specifications and report any material that does not conform to descriptions Survey the market to look for suppliers who deal with the materials, equipment and tools handled by the organization. Provide information in the names of suppliers who offer competitive prices for goods for reference when needed. Keeping a record of the specifications of the materials, tools, and furniture needed by the organization, sorted according to the numbers with the names of the suppliers of these items. Prepare the required documents, ensure their integrity, and abide by the procurement procedures followed. Invite suppliers to submit bids during the specified period. Maintain the confidentiality of specifications and quotations provided by suppliers. Keep a software, paper copy of all purchase papers, contracts and tenders, and ensure that all procurement documents are available and easy to connect to them when needed. Purchase of materials, tools, pieces and supplies according to technical data as soon as possible according to the purchasing system. Ensure that the correct specifications are placed on invoices. Respond to questions and queries of suppliers. Arrange booking procedures (hotels - travel tickets) and other hospitality requirements. Insurance of equipment for offices and facilities. Perform any other work commensurate with his qualifications and abilities may be assigned by the direct official.

 

Educational / Professional Background:

University degree Bachelor \  Diploma in Business Administration or related majors 2 years of experience in a related position Good in written and spoken English and Arabic. Excellent communication skills. Good computer skills. Resilience and the ability to work under pressure, organizing prioritization and multi-tasking skills. problem solving with ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Ability to write reports responsibility, cooperation and take initiatives.
