Within the project supporting the OOSC through innovative and integrated programming in Child Protection and Education to increase access to Formal Education in Al-Khokha District, with the support of #UNICEF and funding from the #European_Union, #Nahda_Makers Organization implemented the activity of building 6 classrooms in Al-Nahda School and 3 latrines and supplying and installing a solar energy system in Al-Khokha District - Al-Hodeidah Governorate, which the organization established as a new school serving students in the region.
This activity, which was implemented, targeted 324 students, with the aim of accommodating students after their return to regular education after completing the compensatory education curricula, thus giving them the opportunity to return to the formal educational track.
The project has previously implemented several programmes within the “Non-Formal Education Activities” with the aim of helping children return to education, which will consequently increase the chances of the most vulnerable children to have equitable access to basic education and access to prevention and protection services, as well as enhance the capacity of child protection service providers to provide basic services to children and their communities.
