Within the “Food to Resilience” project, with Funded by #BMZ and in partnership with #WFP, #Nahda_Makers Organization is currently implementing practical training activities for the project’s beneficiaries.
These activities, which benefit a total of 327 beneficiaries in Hadhramaut Governorate in the districts of Shibam, Al-Qatn, Wadi Al-Ain Hawrah and Seiyun, aim to train them in several professional and applied fields.
Among the trainings that the trainees receive are: Tailoring and sewing - Blacksmithing and Welding - Plumbing - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning - Smart Phone Maintenance - Auto Care Mechanic - Auto Car Electrician - Solar System Technician - Pastry Making - Agricultural Machinery Maintenance.
They are trained theoretically for 45 days in the professional field of each specialization, in addition to 5 days in which they receive training in entrepreneurship. After that, they move to institutions and workshops, each according to his specialization, where they apply what they have learned. This stage extends for 45 days.
These trainings will help acquire skills, increase employment opportunities, support local community and economic development and open the door to self-employment and small businesses, thus enhancing opportunities for comprehensive development in communities.
