Within the education and child protection sector, and with the support of the United Nations International Children's - #UNICEF , #Nahda_Makers Organization is currently implementing the project which is to provision of access and quality education project to conflict affected children in Al-Khukhah through non formal education”.
This project, which is being implemented, targets displaced children and returnees, teachers, and administrative staff in the Al-Khukhah district "Al-Alili camp and Al-Badi village", with a total of 805 children and 41 teachers and administrative staff.
The project is working on implementing many different activities that will provide access to quality education for children affected by the conflict, as follows:
- Establishing and training the committees.
- Conduct camp and community outreach awareness and promotion meetings on in IDP/Returnees settlements.
- Conduct campaigns to introduce the project and sensitize the community about the project.
- Conduct training for teachers and supervisors on PSS.
- Conduct training for teachers and supervisors on self-learning
- Establishment 15 Temporary Alternative Learning Classrooms for out-of-school children.
All of this aims to improve the access of girls/boys to equitable education and learning opportunities and to improve the quality and importance of formal and non-formal education in a safe and protective environment as well as the access of school-aged children, especially girls, internally displaced persons and out-of-school children, to education and learning opportunities in safe environments and Benefiting from strengthening the quality education system and increasing capabilities in the West Coast.
