Safe and healthy wells in AL-Dhala

A year ago, sewage in the AL-Dali'a area, the center of the governorate, filled the streets and backstreets, swelled with foul odors and caused pollution of the atmosphere. This was the result of the spread of open sheds in populated residential areas.

Fatma Abduwali, one Dalia of governorate residents, "In addition to the environmental threat posed by these exposed open spaces, they pose a threat to the lives of people and children, as they represent the dangers of falling into it and the killing of innocent citizens," she said.

"My children were not feeling safe playing in the streets and alleys because of the real threat posited to their lives," she says.

"These risks would not have stopped unless this project cover houses in that area, which was sponsored by the NMO, funded by the International Rescue Committee," Fatima said.

Fatima says the project has a clear impact on securing the lives of citizens, in terms of protecting the environment, stopping the sewage, causing unpleasant odors and harming society through the threat of spreading diseases.

Fatima Abduwlali confirms: On the other hand, this project has prevented the fall of innocent citizens, especially children in the excavation of open pit.

The certificate of the citizens benefiting from the projects of covering the open gates in the Directorate of AL-Dhala confirms the success of the project and the efforts of all the partners in its implementation to create a safe life for citizens, environmental safety and human security.
