Organizational Overview
Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 284.
Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships. NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012 and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors namely:
- Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL)
- Education and Child Protection
- WASH and Health
- Protection, Shelter and CCCM
- Governance and Skill-building
NMO does not tolerate all forms of abuse such as exploitation, sexual assault, harassment, bullying, and discrimination.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Manage supply chain functions including procurement and delivery of goods and services.

Handle supplier management in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements, ensuring best value for money through competitive and transparent sourcing.

Receive and review procurement requests for quotes after verification and approval by the respective manager as per authority matrix.

Monitor the preparation and distribution of invitations for bids and requests for quotation to qualified suppliers.

Negotiate prices, deadlines, and methods of delivery.

Compile, track, and update the suppliers’ database; prepare suppliers’ performance evaluations, identify gaps, and take corrective action.

Contribute to the development of models, mechanisms, and tools to facilitate and enhance performance tracking and management within the service supply chain.

Participate in field visits to verify supplier performance levels, investigate complaints, and assess other issues as determined by the organization.

Organize and manage regular team meetings; document, analyze, and share lessons learned, ensuring integration into future systems and plans.

Actively participate in regular internal organizational meetings and gatherings.

Represent the organization effectively with partners and donors in relevant meetings and task forces, leveraging opportunities and services.
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
Professional Experience
-
Essential working experience of at least 1–3 years in related activities (Procurement, Logistics).

Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs.
Professional Skills & Competencies
-
Strong IT skills and literacy in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Strong knowledge of English.

Good knowledge of operations systems and procurement/logistics activities.

Good knowledge in procurement and tender processes.

Familiarity with the aid system and understanding of donor and governmental requirements.

Strong personal and communication skills.

Strong coordination, organizational, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure.
