Job Description
Job Title: NNGOs Forum Coordinator
Reporting to: Executive Director
Location: 70% in Aden, with 30% field visits in various governorates.
Deadline: 7 October 2023
About NMO:
NMO is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 284. Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships. NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012 and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors, namely FSL , Education and child protection, WASH and Health, Shelter and CCCM and protection, and Governance and Capacity building
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- In close coordination with NNGOs-HCT members, the NNGOs Forum Coordinator will facilitate the coordination system among Yemeni Civil Society. S/he will also ensure that the Capacity of national partners in coordination is strengthened.
- Arrange and chair forum monthly meetings, which include prepare invitation, meeting agenda, track members' attendance, write and share MoM-
- Improve and Mange Forum membership mechanism, update, and mange members master list
- Arrange and chair quarter review meetings with Forum Steering Committee.-
- Share information and opportunities with forum members on regular bases.-
- In collaboration with partners, identify core advocacy concerns/issues & gaps.-
- Ensure that key challenges, messages, and gaps that reported by forum members are well presented in HCT and other related platforms-.
- Arrange Capacity development activities based on identified thematic area.-
- -Enter and analysis pre and post evaluation for training and workshop sessions.-
- Conduct field missions to strength coordination on ground level.-
- Support implementation of Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) Localization Strategy.-
- Develop Forum annual plan in consultation with steering committee and forum members. -
- Conduct Forum performance annual review meeting.-
- Support NNGOs engagement in Humanitarian committees, working groups & Cluster-System.-
- Actively participate either directly or in support of forum members in coordination meetings organized by clusters and circulate information.-
- Keep well organized, updated, and easy access soft archive for all documents.-
- Develop infographics/Maps and dashboards to capture Forum key progress.-
- Improve, update and share Master service Map which reflect NNGOs interventions.-
- Prepare and follow PRs, GRN, and other Logistic and finance required documents that related to Forum activities.-
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with colleagues, members and external stakeholders including government counterparts and international agencies.-
Additional job responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in Social Science, Management, or Information Management or other related fields.
Professional Experience:
- Prior experience in roles of coordination & work with national NGOs.-
- 2years’ experience in information or data management.
- Excellent computer and information management skills (Advanced knowledge in Excel, GIS: ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Pro, designing smart forms such as Kobo, analyzing- and visualizing results, maps).
- Ability in developing infographics/Maps/dashboards to capture gap analysis and forum progress-
- Demonstrate ability to arrange & organize in-person or online meetings and capacity development activities to national NNGOs.-
- Demonstrated leadership skills.-
- Demonstrated capacity to work with minimum resources.-
- Fluent English and Arabic language/communication skills.-
