Job Title: Shelter/NFIs Senior Officer
Reporting to: Shelter/NFIs Project Manager

Location: Aden with visits to the field within the project areas
Contract Duration: 10months
Available to start work: ASAB

Tasks and Responsibilities:
1- Responsibility of monitoring and following up on distribution of SNFIs activities and ensuring that project implementation is in line with technical guidelines, organization policy, humanitarian and donor standards and is in accordance with the project plan and objective to be achieved in a timely and quality required manner.
2- Coordination and representation of the organization in meetings and correspondence with stakeholders, the agencies which working in the same sector, CCCM partners.
3- Supervising and following up the SNFIs field officer and guiding them to carry out the tasks assigned to them.
4- Building the capacity of the team to learn the skills and necessary knowledge to perform their jobs efficiently and enhance their professional capacity through successful team leadership.
5- Reviewing the beneficiaries’ data after receiving it from the data management officer and making sure that all data in line to the targeting criteria and sending it to the donor.
6- Sharing a monthly plan with SNFIs project manager that includes tracking the goal to be achieved and achievement and number of beneficiaries who will be assisted in all activities.
7- Reviewing purchase requests related to the requirements of implementing project activities, such as requests for casual labors, unloaders and downloaders, renting warehouses and transport trucks, and adhering to submit them on time, and coordinating with the logistic team.
8- Coordination with the data management team to prepare the documents required for distribution.
9- Reviewing and approving documents related to the financial transactions of casual labors, unloaders and downloaders, renting warehouses and transport trucks in accordance with the organization’s procedures and policies.
10- Reviewing the distribution reports according to the correct narrative and numerical requirements and ensuring to show the quality of the distribution.
11- Conducting periodic field visits to monitor the progress of project activities with the possibility of travel by 40%.
12- Ensure that all reports and documents related to activities are archived in hard copy and soft copy in coordination with data management team.
13- Updating the list of casual labors in monthly basis.
14- Submitting weekly reports to the line manager on all activities, achievements, problems and challenges.
15- Carrying out the duties of the SNFIs project manager and delegating to him after being assigned to him during his absence or when needed.
16- Performing any other tasks that may be requested by the direct manager, according to the employee's capabilities and qualifications.
17- Adhere to NMO policies and regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degreein Civil or Architectural engineering or related field.
- Two years of work experience with international and/or local NGO in Shelter/NFIs and emergency distribution project.
- Report writing skills, Proficiency in English (Writing and Speaking).
- Practical and theoretical knowledge on IDPs site planning and install the emergency or transitional shelters.
- Excellent representation, negotiation, interpersonal, staff management and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD and data analysis program.
- Solid planning skills and dealing with implementation challenges and finding solutions.
- Problem solver and, hard working with ability to work under pressure.
