Job Title: Program Coordinator
Location: Based in Sanaa Governorate.
Contract Duration: Annual contract

NMO is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 284. Our mission is to take the lead to empower communities in Yemen through humanitarian response and sustainable development programs in a professional way through effective partnerships. NMO started its activity in Yemen since 2012, and has been implementing projects in 5 sectors namely FSL, Education, WASH, Shelter, and Governance and skill-building
NMO is looking for an efficient and qualified person to fill the post of Program Coordinator to carry out the following tasks:.

Tasks and Responsibilities


Participate in formulating funding strategies and annual grant plans in order to achieve the goals of the organization's strategic plan.
2. Contribute to the organization’s registration with all national and local clusters, attend all its meetings and report the minutes of each meeting to the direct manager.
3. Coordinate and communicate with the government and relevant local authorities during planning for new programs within the framework of the program, and ensure their meaningful participation to respond to the needs of the local community.
4. liaise with donors and interested parties responsible for facilitating funds and activities.
5. Coordinate with government, international and national organizations.
6. Follow up on grant announcements, donor requirements, regulations and rules, and application deadlines.
7. Follow up on funding opportunities regularly, and conduct a periodic review of various donor sites to identify proposal invitations
8. Contribute to fundraising, write and develop proposals for donors in cooperation with the Program manager and the senior gants officer, and ensure compliance with donor standards.
9. Follow up the program manager in receiving the required information and filling the supporting documents for the grants, such as capacity assessment forms, list of employees’ information and experiences, and etc.
10. Communicate with donors during the application process, follow up on obtaining feedback from them and respond to any questions received from them, including making adjustments according to their observations.
11. Introduce the partnership requirements for direct donors and request to meet them.
12. Oversee the implementation of NMO programs in close coordination with the line manager.
13. Supervise analyses, assessments and situational studies in the areas targeted by the organization.
14. Follow up on compliance with forms and reporting dates as per commitment.
15. Document, analyze and share lessons learned from the process of submitting proposals to foster performance.
16. Archive program proposals, projects and agreements according to the archive system of the organization.
17. Organize and manage meetings of evaluating current grant opportunities in order to study them and decide whether to submit or not.
18. Evaluate the performance of direct subordinates, and set annual plans for career development and self-learning to enhance their performance levels and skills.
19. Prepare and send the required reports to the line manager.
20. Represent the organization in events, partnerships, training and meetings with relevant donors and partners.
21. Invest opportunities and resources for learning and work to develop professional competence independently.
22. Encourage and appreciate the work team to present new and innovative methods and ideas.
23. Raise proposals and conceptions that would raise the level of performance in the organization and inform the persons concerned of any matters that may affect the integrity, impartiality and reputation of the organization.
24. Comply with organizational systems, procedures, principles and values.
25. Perform any other duties related to the job as requested by the line manager.

Qualifications and Experiences

● Bachelor in English, business administration, project management, international relations, or any concerned field
● 3 years of experience in humanitarian and development project management and preparation of proposals
● Fluent in written and spoken in Arabic and English.
● Excellent communication skills with all actors.
● Ability to work with minimal supervision and can cope with a stressful workload.
● Strong interpersonal and teamwork skill
● Passionate and self-motivation toward community development.
● Excellent presentation, preparation and delivery skills
● Distinguished experience and relationships with donors, government and private agencies
