Nahda Makers organization (NMO) Summary:

NMO is a humanitarian organization implementing several program in WASH, Food Security and livelihood, Shelter, Education and child protection Program in Yemen since 2012, with funding from different donors.
Nahda Makers Organization is looking for an efficient and qualified person to fill the post of Social Media Officer to carry out the following tasks:

Job Purpose


The goal of this job is to manage Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) social media platforms based on NMO policy and procedures. Moreover, he or she will be responsible for developing the electronic marketing strategy and managing fundraising and advocacy campaigns by creating attracting content and interacting with the audience. In addition, he or she will work to study and analyze the interests of the audience to provide valued and useful content.

Tasks and Key Responsibilities


1. Manage all NMO social media platforms and ensure their efficient on daily bases.
2. Manage and develop the website and solve software problems.
3. Manage social media allocated budget and track all expenses
4. Write NMO intervention and activated news in both Arabic and English.
5. Reformulate reports, stories and rewrite them as short posts.
6. Publish NMO news through its Social Media Platforms.
7. Suggest NMO social media strategy and ensure its implementation after getting approval.
8. Examine the status of pages in general and set up a new social platform when context needs.
9. Prepare attracting Arabic and English content inside NMO Social Media platforms based on NMO strategic goals which lead to increase followers interaction.
10. Use creative ideas such as Motion Graphics and Animation which improve the performance of NMO platforms.
11. Develop and schedule posts to increase the percentage of website visits and audience numbers.
12. Interact with visitors comments and respond to their questions.
13. Study audience behavioral and current trends in Social Media.
14. Follow up any new digital technologies related to social media platforms to ensure maximum benefit from these updates.
15. Improve NMO team capacity in using social media platforms in valued and corrected way.
16. Develop the Social Media marketing strategy and managing fundraising and advocacy campaigns
17. Receive and response to the complaints which have been submitted through NMO social platforms in coordination with concerned staff.
18. Keep in touch with other local and international humanitarian actor's platforms.
19. Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro and Facebook Insights to monitor, evaluate the performance quality of NMO social platforms.
20. Participate in preparing success stories for beneficiaries with projects staff, developing, and implementing a visualization draft for their artistic production.
21. Prepare databases and build strong relationships with channels, newspapers, broadcasters, media professionals, and journalists to cover events and activities.
22. Submit monthly reports for all NMO platforms' performance results to the line manager.
23. Participation in organization periodic meetings.
24. Investment self-learning chances and develop professional networks.
25. Archiving his documents according to the archive system used in the organization.
26. Follow the safety and health instructions during performing tasks.

27. Submit suggestions that will develop NMO work and inform the concerned employees of any matters that might affect its positive reputation.
28. Adhere to NMO systems, procedures, principles, and values.

Qualifications and job experience


Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent specialized courses such as Digital Marketing Techniques and social media management.
At least 3 years' experience in managing Social Media platforms.

Skills

Advanced level in both written and spoken English.
2. Writing news and humanitarian stories techniques.
3. Proficiency in working with all social media platforms (Instagram, You Tube ,WhatsApp , Twitter , Facebook , Snapchat , LinkedIn) .
4. Proficient with Microsoft software applications and design programs such as Photoshop, Adobe In Design ,Motion Graphics, Illustrator, Premiere Adobe.
