Job Title: Finance Assistant
Reporting to: Finance Officer
Sector: Finance
Location: Sayun
Deadline: 15 February 2025

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the disbursement of funds in compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of payment requests, claims, payroll, entitlements, and supporting documents to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor guidelines.
  • Prepare checks, bank letters, and process payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Analyze, convert, and record financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and submit required periodic financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with banks and exchange companies to monitor exchange rates and address other related financial matters.
  • Ensure all paid financial documents are stamped with the phrase "Paid" and delivered to the archiving officer on a monthly basis for proper documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for both bank and cash accounts to ensure accurate records.
  • Provide assistance and documentation for all types of audits, including statutory audits, internal audits, donor audits, and spot inspections.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
  • intermediate in written and spoken English.    
  • One years’ experience in finance/accounting positions.
  • Good computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • Accuracy in the processing of cash transactions, mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Honesty and integrity in all work activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
