Job Title Agricultural Engineer

:Tasks and Responsibilities
Technical support and field supervision
- Farmers' field supervision and follow-up - beneficiaries - at all stages of agricultural operations from land processing and agriculture to harvest
- Provide advice and train farmers on how to deal with modern agricultural technologies such as tunnelling and farming within protected homes and the use of modern irrigation systems etc
- Receipt and verification of the quantities and quality of agricultural inputs according to customized specifications such as seeds, fertilizers, etc
- Receipt and assurance of the quality of agricultural equipment and equipment such as protected houses, irrigation systems and agricultural machinery
- Review the specifications and quantity tables of agricultural inputs, and participate in the analysis of their submissions
- Field work with farmers and supervision and follow-up of all activities in accordance with the plan and timetable to be prepared in partnership with other core team members and field supervisors
- Ensure the safety of agricultural appointments and processes that achieve high productivity, maintain soil fertility, efficient use of irrigation water and choose crops suitable for the conditions and environment of each region
- Facilitate the transfer of agricultural knowledge and skills among beneficiaries,
- Encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and techniques to minimize environmental impact and enhance sustainability
- Conduct follow-up field visits to ensure the implementation of the activities
- Coordination and continuous communication with field supervisors from engineers, community committees and directorates' agriculture offices
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly plans
- Drafting daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Maintain detailed records and up to date paper work for all duties as per agreed-upon formats
- Any other relevant duties as directed by the Project Manager
Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation
- Participate in initial assessment missions and distribution/site selections as NMO representative
- Follow up on the implementation process, update the PM accordingly, and assist in the field
- Ensure tracking of project indicators at all levels (activities, results, objectives, and goals)
- Gather information on crop yields, water use efficiency, economic return, and project outcomes using appropriate data collection methods
- Compile and present data-driven reports to project managers, donors, and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations
Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of the project activities
- Draft weekly and monthly narrative reports using approved templates
- Ensure to generate lessons learned and project success stories
- Drafting the progress report to be submitted to the Program Manager for review and approval
:Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture sciences or any relevant field
- At least three years' experience working in agriculture on the ground
- Experience in dealing with modern agricultural technologies, methods and methods
- Experience in the project's work area - Wadi Hadramawt
- He has a course in "field supervision" or specialized agricultural courses
- Priority for the people of the region
- Familiar with the requirements of working with organizations
- Moderate level in speaking and written English and ability to write quality reports
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong team management skills and ability to relate to and effectively motivate staff
